Za'atar

Zaatar eller Za'atar, som betyder "timian" på persisk, er på en måde den provencalske urt i det levantinske køkken. Det er en mellemøstlig krydderi, der har eksisteret i århundreder. Mens ingredienserne varierer fra region til region, omfatter zaatar oftest timian, oregano eller merian, sumac og sesamfrø. Vores vilde Za'atar kommer fra et lille landbrugskooperativ i det nordlige Palæstina, på grænsen til Galilæa, med fokus på bæredygtig økologisk udvikling og fair trade-principper. Den er lavet med vild oregano, ristede blonde sesamfrø, sumac, et strejf af olivenolie og Dødehavssalt.
